Advanced Energy Action (AEA) is laser-focused on that work: Cultivating state-level advanced energy champions across the country with timely, targeted campaign contributions.

Our work has already borne fruit. Timely donations in states such as Michigan and Virginia have unlocked markets and created opportunities for advanced energy. AEA continues to invest in elected officials who are working to accelerate the move towards a reliable, affordable, and clean energy system and see the opportunity of advanced energy.

Never has this engagement been more important. Between rapidly escalating energy demand, rising costs, and changing federal policy, U.S. energy is at an inflection point. In 2026, 46 states will hold legislative and/or gubernatorial elections. Lawmakers and public officials elected this year will shape state energy policies and regulations for years to come.
